2012, Adults, Black Library Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: A Space Marine Battles novel   Volume: 9Summary Note: Death came to the Bastion INviolate beneath a veil of shadow and flesh. Castellan Lepidus outlived the command deck crew by a handful of seconds. They were asphyxiated as the machine-spirit lost control to the data-daemon and the airlocks and bulkhead doors were slammed open. The air shrieked out of the star fort, dragging many crew with it, kicking out blindly as they were thrown out into the void. Those who held on died in the next moment, blood vessels rupturing, lungs bursting, their blood coughed out into a frozen mist in the sudden cold. A Space Marine could survive the void for a while. It was not the void that killed Lepidus. .

2013, Adults, Black Library Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: Space Marine BattlesSummary Note: "The beast I am seeking seeks me out in turn. Huge, towering above its lesser kin, packed with unnatural muscle around its malformed bones and reeking of the fungal blood that fuels its foul heart. It launches itself onto the tank's hull, perhaps expecting some titanic duel to impress its tribe. A champion, perhaps. A chieftain. It matters not. The brutes' leaders rarely resist the chance to engage Imperial commanders in full view -- they are loathsomely predictable. There is no time for sport. My first strike is my last, hammering through its guard, shattering its crossed axes and pounding the aquila head of my crozius into its roaring face. It topples from the Baneblade, all loose limbs and worthless armour, as pathetic in death as it had been in life." --from inside cover.

2011., Adults, Black Library Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: Space Marine Battles   Volume: #6Summary Note: Magnus had come. The daemon-primarch was at the foot of the stairway, attracting tracer fire in glowing, angry lines. The ordnance seemed to explode before it hit him, blooming in starbursts of angry red and orange around his massive frame. The Long Fangs and heavy weapons squads had unloaded all they had at him, pouring streams of flame at the monster's head and chest. It had no discernible effect. Magnus was a giant, a five-metre-tall behemoth striding though the clouds of promethium like a man pushing through fields of corn. He was radiant, as splendid as bronze, dazzling amid the shadows of the mountain. Nothing hurt him. Nothing came close to hurting him. He had been created for another age, an age when gods walked among men. In the colder, weaker universe of the thirty-second millennium he was unmatched, a walking splinter of the Allfather's will set amid a fragile world of mortal flesh and blood. .

Instead, he felt that he was being told something he had already known at a subconscious level. He turned from the dead to bring his flamer to bear on Robbes. He saw a woman fighting heroically for her life an those of her friends. His finger hesitated on the trigger. His peripheral vision caught the rest of the squad re-orienting their weapons, also on the horns of that terrible moment when orders seemed wrong. Robbes turned her head to look at him. Volos pulled the trigger. But he was too late. Everything was too late. The plague reached maturity, and the change began. .

2011., Adults, Black Library Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: Space Marine Battles   Volume: #5Summary Note: Spreading out, the necrons had enveloped them. Bolters tracked and fired to compensate, relying on advanced targeting sensors - the mist was so bad that the enemy were literally appearing as if from nowhere, and in numbers. "Brother, my flank has been compromised". It was Atavian through the comm-feed in Iulus's helmet. "Close up battle-formation, there are more necrons than we first believed." An affirmation rune flashed in Iulus's retinal display. The tac-icons representing the Devastator squad started to move closer to the Immortals. Iulus noticed there were several red markers that remained static. Squad Fennion and the two Devastators - they were the rearguard. Glory belonged to others. "Take hold the ground". Those had been his orders during the mission briefing. Thirty Ultra marines to keep a simple esplanade from the enemy. It had seemed like overkill; now, Iulus Fennion wasn't so sure. .

Lahhel was standing by Manakel's shoulder, but had to shout to be heard over the tumultuous winds and the screech of the STorm Eagle's engines. Manakel turned to face his squad, the Chapter symbols emblazoned on their shoulder guards strengthening his will. 'Where a man may find himself frozen, gripped by hopelessness, a Space Marine shall act. We are the sons of Sanguinius and we fight for every breath!' 'Until death!' Seventh Squad said as one, the sound of their gauntleted salutes a harsh rebuttal to the chaos enveloping their Storm Eagle. One by one, they leapt from the tumbling ship, vanishing into a sea of cloud. 'The Blood protects.' Manakel rapped his fist against his helmet and followed them into hell." -- from inside cover.

2012, Adults Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: A Space Marine Battles novel   Volume: 8Summary Note: With another roar, the Fire Lords Chaplain launched himself from the top of the steps. He hungered for a swift end to the contest and closed with the distracted Excoriator. The gladius cut through the air. Kersh rolled to one side, allowing the blade to fall where he had lain, chipping the stone. Rolling back, the tip of Kersh's boot made contact with the Fire Lord's jaw, sending the Chaplain off balance. By the time Kersh was back on his feet, the Fire Lords Space Marine was coming at him with the envenomed blade, flicking it this way and that, exploring the Excoriator's defences. Kersh danced away on the toes of his boots. He arched and angled his body, retracting his limbs and skipping back out of the blade's path. .

This is no place to leave a good brother behind. The fire was dying down, the fast-burning fuel feeding a hot but short-lived flame. Lycaon walked through the burning detritus closer to the ashes and scorched bones that remained of the brood mother. He poked around in the debris, bent down, and came up clutching the scorched length of a chainsword. Golden paint still clung to it, and to the clenched fist symbol of the Chapter. 'Brother Lysander,' said Lycaon. 'You left your weapon in your foe.'" --from inside cover.

2015, Adults, Black Library Call No: SF SPA    Availability:1 of 1     At Your Library Series Title: Space Marine Battles    Volume: #14Summary Note: "Fifth Brotherhood came with thunder. The snarl of Land Speeders and bikes in such numbers was monstrous. The air itself turned feral. The White Scars were a storm flying over the land, and it would flatten everything in its path. The wind rushed at the green tide. It came to break the waves, to turn them back. It would blow so hard that it would show that a tide could be stopped after all. Temur Khan did not believe in comforting illusions. He knew, when he saw the ork mob stretching out for kilometres, that he was here to perform a miracle. So be it. He knew what he and his battle-brothers could do. He closed the distance with the orks, and the landscape a streak in his peripheral vision, and he laughed. 'Behold the greenskin number!' he called out over the vox's company channel. 'Do they imagine that will make any difference to us? All they have done, brothers, is ensure that each of us may quench his thirst for xenos blood this day Destroy them! For the Khan and the Emperor!'" -- from inside cover.
